North American Coton Association
As the UKC's licensed conformation club for the Coton de Tulear, our Cotons are registered with the United Kennel Club, the largest all-breed performance-dog registry in the world.   Operating under the auspices of the United Kennel Club, we subscribe to their Rules and Code of Ethics.  We promote and participate in  UKC  conformation and performance events.


 UKC - United Kennel Club

 Established in 1898, the United Kennel Club is the largest all-breed performance-dog registry in the world, registering dogs from all 50 states and 25 foreign countries.  UKC prides itself on its family-oriented, friendly, educational events. The UKC has supported the "Total Dog" philosophy through its events and programs for over a century.


AKC - American Kennel Club

 The American Kennel Club is dedicated to upholding the integrity of its Registry, promoting the sport of purebred dogs and breeding for type and function. Founded in 1884, the AKC® and its affiliated organizations advocate for the purebred dog as a family companion, advance canine health and well-being, work to protect the rights of all dog owners and promote responsible dog ownership.


The Dayton Kennel Club

Dayton Kennel Club was incorporated April 22, 1938 and is a member of the American Kennel Club. The DKC mission is to promote purebred dogs through responsible breeding practices; to provide educational opportunities for members and the community, encouraging responsible pet ownership; and to support and cooperate with organizations in the care and relief of stray dogs.

 Founded and originally incorporated as a private not for profit foundation in 1966.  While the OFA continues to focus on hip dysplasia, today’s OFA Mission, “To improve the health and well being of companion animals through a reduction in the incidence of genetic disease,” reflects the organization’s expansion into other inherited diseases and other companion animals such as cats.




 The Canine Health Information Center, also known as CHIC, is a centralized canine health database sponsored by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA). 

 Mission Statement:  To provide a source of health information for owners, breeders, and scientists, that will assist in breeding healthy dogs.



UCARE - Coton Rescue

 The purpose of this group is to find loving homes for Cotons in need and to educate the public on the importance of spay/neuter and prevention of animal abuse.
